Myofascial Release refers to a release of the muscle, fascia and the connective tissues of the body. Fascia is the fabric that binds our bodies together. It weaves throughout the body, as intricate as a cobweb in some areas and thick and fibrous in others. Tendons are examples of the thickest fascia in our bodies. The Acupuncture Meridians run through this fascia. Unwinding the fascia is a technique that applies soft touch to locate fascial restrictions and uses your own body movement to help release them.
